Porsche Design Tower

Well, g'day to you! Was that you buzzing by the coffeepot a couple minutes ago in a downward spiralling orbit? Good to see you. I'm glad you could find time in your busy day to sip on a little coffee and chew the fat. Last week was brutal here. I mean we're talking -28C without the windchill factor! After a couple days respite, we're right back in the deep freeze. We need a winter getaway. Speaking of which...

The new Porsche Design Tower near Miami, opening in 2016, is already 80 percent sold out, according to a December report by Slate.com).

The 132 oceanside units offers units from  4,300 to 17,000 square footage and in price from $5.3 million to $32.5 million.

Each unit includes glass-walled, elevator-accessed spaces for two or four cars (for people who would rather admire their Bugattis and Maseratis than the Atlantic Ocean).

Kind of looks as though it would be tricky getting in and out of your Maserati, eh. How would you like to back your car onto that elevator? Don't reverse too quickly or your luxury car could be a luxury pile of junk at the bottom of the wide open elevator shaft - and you along with it! Oh, and when you're on the elevator pad, don't step out of the car because you forgot something, eh!

What's the big deal. Singapore has had a car-condo for a couple years already!

See ya by the pool, eh!

Bob
