Konichi-wa! How are you
doing today? Ready for a mugful of iced coffee and a virtual muffin or
doughnut? Why the heck not, eh! Say...do you like noodles? I love them...from Italian
(except the gluten-free ones) to fat Singapore noodles to every kind of Thai
noodles imaginable to Japanese ramen. Well here’s a different way to use your
noodles...
Yunessan Spa House in
Hakone, Japan, recently began offering guests supposedly soothing,
skin-conditioning baths -- of ramen noodles (elevating to health status what
might be Japan's real national dish).
The pork broth that fills
the tub is genuine, but because of health department regulations, only
synthetic noodles can be used, and it is not clear that the artificial ramen
achieves the same (allegedly) beautifying collagen levels as actual noodles.

In the picture above, Ichiro Furuya,
founder and cook of a popular noodle store 'Nantsuttei' throws the imitation
noodles bath agent into 'soup noodle spa' at the Hakone Yunessun Spa. Forget a soapy bath, it's all about a
soupy bath for this broth-like treatment offered in Japan.
The Hakone Kowakien Yunessun spa offers a soak in a tub complete with
noodles, collagen and garlic extracts.
The inexpensive
treatment is aimed to improve guest's skin and metabolism and is named after
the Japanese noodle soup dish.

admission - Hakone Kowakien Yunessun Hot Springs Amusement Park and Spa Resort,

As much as I love
noodles, I think I’d rather have the noodles in a bowl rather than me being in the
bowl if you know what I mean! Of course, given a little too much Sake, who
knows...
See ya, eh!
