Rose Ann Bolasny, 60, of Great
Neck, New York, last year created a trust fund for her 3-year-old
Maltese (dog), Bella Mia, that will allow spending $100,000 a year on
fashions and spa treatments so that Bolasny can pamper "the daughter I
never had."
She considers the pooch a bona fide child, feeds her filet mignon and dresses her in diamond-studded tiaras.
Bella Mia reportedly has 1,000 outfits in her custom-made walk-in closet, including ball gowns, along with diamond and pearl jewellery, and she sleeps on her own double bed.
Bolasny lives with her husband and has two adult sons (who are said to be fine with their mother's intention to will Bella Mia a house in Florida if she outlives Bolasny and her 82-year-old husband).
If you've got it, flaunt it, I suppose. But, wait a second...if the dog outlives her 'parents' and gets the house in Florida, I guess she'll have to adopt a human or two to take care of her. Want to put your name down for the job? Year round hot weather... no snow to shovel... just the odd hurricane to worry about... and watch out for alligators when you step out your front door. I reckon a Florida alligator might consider Bella Mia in a different light,eh.
A dog's life? We should be so lucky!
See ya, eh!
